The Russian Reader has been blocked, apparently, by Russian communications watchdog Roskomnadzor and can now be accessed in Russia only via a VPN, according to my friend V. He sent me this screenshot earlier today and since then has tried to access the site in a number of different (non-VPN-powered) ways, all to no avail. Later today, another friend in Russia, R, found the number of the government order banning this website in Russia and the court ruling supporting this ban. This is sad news, in part because readers in Russia, surprisingly, made up a large part of The Russian Reader’s audience. ||| TRR
